Congratulations to Sally McKee who successfully completed the City & Guilds Childrens Care, Learning & Development Diploma, Level 2.

Sally has been attending the course at Upper Andersonstown Community Forum as part of the Jobs, Education & Training Project (J.E.T) for the last 12 months. This course involves both on the job training through a placement with a local creche/daycare centre or a Primary School as well as weekly group sessions in Tullymore.

20150313_120222Sally stated that “The help and support provided by all the staff on the J.E.T project and in Upper Andersonstown Community was invaluable and a great help in getting a new job, thank you”

Since completing the course, Sally has gained employment as a classroom assistant in a local St Marks Primary School.

The J.E.T. programme was funded through the European Social Fund (ESF), has been operating since 2008 (7 years), has helped over 300 local people gain employment (10 self-employed) and this is a great example of how affective the project is and has been for a number of years now as well as the real value it continues to offer the local community, local families and to local employment opportunities.
