The First session of the new “Parents Lets Talk” project took place in Tullymore Community Centre yesterday and was a great succes. The workshop focused on “Drug Awareness” and the impact it can have on families and their community.

WP_20150303_003Ann-Marie McKee, Family Support worker based in Tullymore said “Today was a great opportunity to talk about the issues around drugs, how they affect so many families in the local community and gave local residents the chance to learn new things regarding drug and alcohol. There was also a great social aspect to the session as everyone got a chance to share their experiences and how they dealt with them“.

Next weeks workshop will take place in Tullymore on Tuesday 10th March, 10 to 12noon and will focus on Mental Health with guest speaker John Mallon attending and giving an insight on his own personal experiences with mental health.
