Tullymore Community Centre would like to thank the local community for once again supporting their family fun day for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice which raised £643.50.

The local community flocked to this annual event in the west Belfast community centre and enjoyed a variety of activities including Face-painting, Balloon Modelling and Bouncy Castles.

Speaking after the event Christine Collins said;

“We were delighted to once again organise this event for the Children’s Hospice. We would like to thank everyone who supported our fundraising and allowed us to present £643.50 to the Children’s Hospice”.

Each year Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice provides respite and end of life care for approximately 300 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. Practical, emotional and bereavement support is also provided for the whole family. Care is provided at the Children’s Hospice buildings in Newtownabbey and Killadeas and also in local communities across Northern Ireland.

Following the cheque presentation, Jenay Doyle, Community Fundraiser for NI Children’s Hospice said:

“We are delighted to have the ongoing support of Tullymore Community Centre and that of the local community. This event definitely put the fun into fundraising and the funds raised will help us to provide Children’s Hospice Care to local families with life-limited children”.

Continuing Jenay added;

“It costs £3million to run the services of NI Children’s Hospice each year. With limited government funding of £500,000 we rely on the support of the local community to continuing caring for life limited children and their families who rely on our charity. We really appreciate all the support we receive – to us you are truly Children’s Hospice Heroes”.
